THE BAND
BIOGRAPHY
Imagine Texas alternative country with a kick of Tennessee twang. The edge of today's Americana music with country vocals reminiscent of the genre's 1990's boom. A hybrid encompassing a variety of southern roots, country and rock influences spliced with real-life Americana.
The Twang Bangers cultivated an idea that formed in the practice rooms of East Tennessee State University's storied Bluegrass, Old Time and Country Music program into a regional favorite that has performed on stages in 16 states and alongside the likes of Chris Stapleton, Jon Pardi, Josh Turner, Uncle Kracker, Joe Diffie and Trent Tomlinson, among others.
A partnership with Nashville producer Gregg Brown (Travis Tritt, Waylon Jennings) brought the energy and passion from the live stage into a debut three-track release in 2012. By 2014, the Twang Bangers had released three EP's, including "When The Lights Go Down" and an array of tracks still beloved by their home audience.
In 2024, the band reunited in the studio for their first original release in more than 10 years with "Enough to Cry," a southern gothic tale of heartbreak and modern realism that echoes through rural communities across America.
